Our Story

Founded by Robert Lee Johannsen in 1918 in Brooklyn New York. Today, and over a hundred years since our founding, our global headquarters still remain in Brooklyn. That history and heritage defines who we are and what we do in the future. Our accomplishments are rooted in continually developing and delivering the highest quality products with the best selection available globally. Throughout our first hundred years we have expanded globally to strive to meet and exceed our customer’s needs and we have expanded with additional strategic locations throughout the United States, Europe, Latin America and Asia.
